The subject of the doctoral thesis should be of relevance for science and society issues. The scholarships are initially granted for one year and can be extended for a second year, if applied for. Funding beyond the third year is not possible. International scholars receive up to EUR 1,200 each month plus a contribution to health insurance, as well as for family members traveling along. One of the sponsorship priorities is, however, on non-material support.
