The German Studies Association (GSA) will hold its 44th Annual Conference from 1 to 4 October 2020 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA, across from Washington, DC.
The Program Committee cordially invites proposals on any aspect of German, Austrian, or Swiss studies, including (but not limited to) history, Germanistik, film, art history, political science, anthropology, musicology, religious studies, sociology, and cultural studies. Proposals for entire sessions, for interdisciplinary presentations, and for series of panels are strongly encouraged (although thematic series should be limited to not more than four panels). Individual paper proposals are also welcome. The call for seminar proposals has been distributed separately.

DAAD intends to contribute to the program through its sponsorship of seminars, panels and roundtables featuring DAAD German Studies Professors, the DAAD Centers for German and European Studies, participants of the DAAD Faculty Summer Seminar in German Studies as well as a distinguished contemporary authorsupported by DAAD in conjunction with the GSA.
