As part of Institute of International Education’s (IIE) 100th anniversary celebration, please join IIE and DAAD for a salon-style discussion on the topic of Knowledge Diplomacy in the Transatlantic World. The purpose of this salon will be to interrogate the question of what the ‘Transatlantic World’ means today and what role Knowledge Diplomacy can - and should - play as we look toward the rest of this decade.
DAAD/IIE Centennial Salon: Knowledge Diplomacy in the Transatlantic World
Tuesday, September 17th from 2:30pm – 6:00pm
IIE Headquarters
809 United Nations Plaza
New York, NY 10017
The event will feature an open discussion by a distinguished group of experts from across sectors who will explore questions such as: What is the “Transatlantic World”? How far East in Europe does this “world” actually go? What exactly is “Knowledge Diplomacy” in the current political context? How does our understanding of the concept differ? How does the Transatlantic World change and what does this mean for Knowledge Diplomacy?
This event is free to attend. As space is limited, please RSVP by September 16th to Clare Overmann (covermann@iie.org).
