Welcome to Higher Education in Germany! |

This website is here to help students, researchers and faculty in the USA and Canada on their journey to study or research in Germany. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a publicly-funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. Our 14 international offices provide information as well as financial support to over 55,000 highly-qualified students and faculty per year for international research and study. One of the largest of those international offices is here at DAAD New York, where we help students, faculty and current DAAD fellows in the US and Canada. How can we help you?

DAAD Young Ambassadors and Research Ambassadors |
There are now two ways for both younger and more advanced students and scholars to support transatlantic exchange: - The new DAAD Research Ambassadors program is open to people in the US and Canada who have spent at least 10 months doing research in Germany at the PhD level or above.
- The DAAD Young Ambassadors program is for undergraduate students from North America who have recently studied in Germany and are interested in promoting study in Germany at their home institutions.
The deadline for both programs is June 6. Click the links above for more information on how to apply!
