DAAD Undergraduate Profile: Julie Beaulieu-Drolet
Julie from the Universite Laval in Quebec, Canada, studied Philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich from September 2004 to June 2005.

All along my post-secondary studies, I have developed a growing interest for political and cultural issues. Because of the context in which I grew up, a bilingual country with two different historical backgrounds, a lot of questions concerning a people's cultural identity have come into my mind. In my quest for answers, I have found in literature a sensible echo to my interrogations. But it was in philosophy that I discovered what I now consider as one of the most fundamental and essential disciplines and that I would even describe as a way of life in itself. Hence, I chose to dedicate the next few years to the pursue of this study, and eventually, I would like to communicate this passion to others through a career in education.
