How has your time in the US affected your academic/professional career path?
I changed careers after my marriage in the US and pursued an academic career in German language and literature.

What's the most important piece of advice you could give a new DAAD grantee?
Maintain the contacts you made and stay in the DAAD network!

What was your most dramatic experience of culture shock in the US?
The culture and climate of Louisiana, where I was at LSU-Baton Rouge
