Please READ THE PROGRAM INFORMATION FIRST, making sure you meet all of the eligibility requirements and understand the application instructions before you apply.
Downloadable application forms in pdf format are used for most of our programs. Fill in the form online, print the completed form, sign it (original signature required to qualify) and mail it with your supporting documents to the DAAD New York office or as otherwise noted.

PDF Application Forms
Adobe Reader 4.x or newer is needed to utilize the PDF-format application forms. This will allow you to fill out the form online and print it out with your answers (please note that this format does not allow you to save your answers).

- Application forms and all supporting material remain with the DAAD.
- Personal data of applicants and grantees will be stored electronically at the DAAD only to the extent necessary for the administration of the applications and scholarships in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act.
- Data of successful applicants will be provided to the international affairs offices (Akademisches Auslandsamt) at the respective German institutions for the implementation and administration of the scholarship; this will provide the grantee with guidance services.
- Applications of unsuccessful candidates will be destroyed after one year.
